Jenny Avila-Marigomen

Center Head & Founder

Teacher Jenny, as she is affectionately called, is the founder and center head of Passion Explorers’ Preschool. With over two decades of experience in the preschool setting, her journey has taken her from being a preschool teacher to a guidance counselor, school directress, and training head. Through these experiences, she developed a deep passion for progressive, child-centered education.

Inspired by Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Reggio Emilia, Teacher Jenny believes that children are capable, curious, and full of ideas. She believes that meaningful learning happens when adults listen, observe, and create opportunities for children to explore their interests and express themselves in their own unique ways.

These beliefs led her to create Passion Explorers’ Preschool, a place where children can explore, wonder, create, and discover their passions. Today, she remains actively involved in the PEP community, working closely with teachers and families to create a nurturing environment where children feel seen, heard, and valued.

Beyond PEP, Teacher Jenny is a wife, a hands-on mom to three children, and a Nonna who enjoys spending time and traveling with her family. For her, PEP is more than a school. It is a reflection of her belief that children should be trusted, teachers empowered, and learning embraced as a joyful journey of exploration.
